A stunning unique self contained luxury, self catering 1st floor apartment suitable for couples/singles, with downstairs shower room. River view and balcony overlooking fields. 5 min walk from Whittlesea Train Station. Nature reserves, fishing, bird watching within a 5 min drive. Aqua park, Manor Leisure Centre, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants locally. Peterborough is a 15 min drive. Fishing available. Please Note: We do not permit additional guests or visitors during your stay. The space A large (40ft x 18ft) open space olde world tavern style room. Beautiful views across fields and the Whittlesey River. Bright and cheerful room. Decorated with comfortable leather chesterfield sofas, velvet throws, comfortable lounge chairs, a pool table, dressing area and the all important tavern area. A unique and homely space. Guest access Guests have access to the outside balcony which offers stunning views over fields and the Whittlesey River. We invite you to enjoy our garden, which is full of Willow Trees and leads right down to the water, where you can watch the narrow boats go by and all manner of wildlife. In addition to your own large balcony area, you are also welcome to use our very large three section decking area to enjoy sitting by the water. We offer each guest a barrow load of logs for the firepit as night falls. You can enjoy the night sky and stargazing, listen to some light music with a glass of self brought fizz etc or a hot cup of drink if you prefer. Other things to note Although we are a self catering facility, there will be tea, coffee, milk, sugar and sweetener for your stay. We provide a mini fridge, microwave, induction hob, pots, pans, utensils, kettle, teas/coffee/pint of milk, sandwich maker, iron and ironing board, two televisions, two electric heaters in addition to the radiators already in place and a hairdryer. We provide clean towels and all fresh clean bed linen. There are also several heavy large throws in the wardrobe for your comfort if you want to sit outside on the balcony during the evening. There isn't a washing machine or tumble dryer, however if you need anything washing and ironing we can arrange that service at an additional cost. Please note that our shower room is a large walk in one, there isn't a bath. There is a lot of storage space for clothing, shoes, coats etc in both the double sized wardrobe and in the shelving unit behind the bar and in the entrance hall. Please note: If you would like any particular groceries in your room for your arrival, you are welcome to order delivery through any of the supermarkets or we will gladly do a collection/supermarket run for you. Please just give us notice. We're happy to help you arrange special surprises: Flowers, Chocolates, Champagne etc.
