Farm Life: Emus, Bunnies, Chickens + Goats ☽ The property you are staying on is shared with our little off-the-grid farm. If you would like to visit the farm and animals, please reach out to your host ahead of time to schedule a visit. We would love to provide one-on-one emu connections but need to pencil this into their calendar ahead of time. They’re very busy birds! Stargazing ☽ We have some of the best stargazing around. There is no light pollution out here, so you can see the Milky Way most nights and if you wait long enough, you'll definitely catch a meteor shower and a shooting star or two. The Countryside ☽ Our countryside property is situated between a glider airport and a private bush airport which can make for some added interesting views! We recommend that you spend as much time outside as possible and really take it all in. Adventure ☽ For adventure seekers, the 15 min proximity to Pyramid Lake and Moon Rocks offers a myriad of outdoor activities. Drive through the beautiful red rock canyons, explore the nearby hiking trails, go fishing in the pristine waters of Pyramid Lake, or embark on an off-roading excursion through the rugged terrain of Moon Rocks. Wildlife ☽ Our property is in the heart of the desert and as such you may have the added bonus of hearing or seeing the native wildlife it has to provide. It is not uncommon to see owls, hawks, coyotes etc. They may even serenade you to sleep in the evening. Guest access Most of the 41 acres is yours to explore! If you would like to visit the farm and meet the animals please speak with your host ahead of time. Speak with your host about nearby areas and our private road access to Moon Rocks. Other things to note Our internet is provided by Starlink, which is satellite-based internet. It's usually fast and stable, but there may be occasional short outages. Note: most guests find that their phones work perfectly out here. We would love to invite you to take the opportunity to unplug. Note: the cleaning fee includes the propane that keeps the trailer warm in the cooler months.
