The George is a friendly, family run business. A 19th century building that has been completely modernised but has not lost its original charm and character. Sat in a quieter part of town, The George is 10 minute walk away from the beach, with the town centre, Sea Life centre, Bowleaze Cove, and Harbourside all nearby. Breakfast is included with Free WI-FI and Free on site Parking. We are Pet Friendly. We do not have a lift. The space Your room has one standard double bed that sleeps up to 2 people and a bathroom shared with one other room located outside the bedroom. For your comfort and convenience all rooms are supplied with hairdryers and complimentary tea and coffee facilities which are unlimited. Free WIFI is available in your room which is also unlimited. Please note that all of our rooms and hotel is strictly non smoking. During your stay The George Bed and Breakfast is a late 19th century building with real character. Most of the rooms have been re-furbished and fitted with ensuite bathrooms as well as a new heating system and windows installed. Mike and Karis took over the property July 2023. Mike previously worked as a head chef with over 20 years cooking experience, so look forward to some tasty breakfasts and Karis has previously owned hotels, so knows how to make your stay feel like home from home. Our children Ruby and Miles are keen to help with breakfast service but being only 11 and 13 years, it will be a while before you have the pleasure of seeing their smiling faces waiting on tables.
