Rustic Beach House

Welcome to our quaint, 3 seasons lakefront cottage! It was built in the late 40’s and has the simple charm of an old cabin. There are no bells and whistles…but it has the necessary amenities for a peaceful stay. You are directly on a white sand beach of Lake Michigan. It’s just north of Jacksonport and about a 15 minute drive to most anywhere in Door County. With 1 bedroom plus a trundle bed and a pull out couch it’d be perfect for a small family or a couple. The space There are 2 cottages on this lot with a shared driveway. We occasionally will be in the other cottage but rest assured you’ll have 50 feet of private beach front access and the whole cottage to yourselves! We've painstakingly updated the cottage, refinished the floors, remodeled the kitchen with a new refrigerator and kitchenette, and completely overhauled the bathroom. We kept the cottage as close to original as is, because the previous owner built the home and sold it to us knowing we'd take care of it. The original fireplace is all natural, wood burning, and we always keep a few pieces of kindling and wood to get you started. We have an outdoor fire ring, perched on a small rock ledge overlooking the lake. We do keep firewood on the property, but would appreciate if you'd bring the majority yourself as it takes a while to cut. Our neighbors north and south are lovely people, and are up sparingly in the summer. If you happen to see them, feel free to say hi, as we are lucky to have such great neighbors. We do keep quiet hours at night, and make sure we are always respectful of their space. We are located just north of Jacksonport, two cottages north of Hibbards Creek. Nice and quiet, with a sand beach that runs to the water. Guest access We are located right on Highway 57, the third driveway north of Hibbards Creek. So slow down on the Hibbards Creek bridge, and you will see us in 150'. Other things to note We redid the plumbing in the entire house, and put a new filtration system in 2024 as well. We have a sand point well, but have a multiple filter system so our water is fine to drink. It will occasionally have a hint of the minerals as we are on a bedrock of limestone (dolomite), but we go to great lengths to filter it for you.
