Bridgewater is 4 miles away and has a post office, several churches, city park, bank, pub, gas station, car repair shop and elementary school. The barnyard acreage is 4 miles from town. There is no public transportation to town. Walking and biking on Hwy 42 and Hwy 81 is not advised. Parking is easy in Bridgewater. We ask guests to stay out of pastures and barns where the animals live. Some barnyard animals are large and powerful, such as the Mammoth Donkey, named Honey Leona who keeps the coyotes away. The sow, named Mischa, is protective of her piglets. Cabin and bunkhouse are not suitable for those with cat allergies. The far NE corner of the property (furthest corner from cabin) within the North shelter belt of trees is a deep pit used in the past to discard large appliances. It is currently full of water from the snow melt and fenced off with a Do Not Enter sign.
