Serendipity Tiny House
Description
Serendipity Tiny House is designed for you to escape “normal” life and to get away from the hustle and bustle, especially for those who crave something a bit different. Built with the idea of bridging the gap between the indoors and the outside world, wake up to the peaceful sounds of the birds chirping in the nearby deciduous woodland. Whilst your coffee is brewing, step outside and remind yourself why you came here as you look at the spectacular views our tiny house has to offer. The space Inside, you’ll discover plenty of light-filled space to cook and dine, whilst looking out and admiring the tranquil views with a bottle of wine, planning your adventures for the following day. Guest access GARDEN You will have access to your own front and side garden, with a deck overlooking our pond which attracts wildlife such as ducks and frogs. Feel free to use the outdoor swing and hammock too, at your own risk. PARKING Free parking for up to 1 vehicle. Please park between your chalet and our house, ensuring you don’t block our cars in. PIZZA OVEN Basic package: £0 Includes use of the pizza oven, but the guests supply their own dough and toppings. Bag of charcoal provided on request. Enjoy all year round - we’ve cooked a pizza and burgers in the snow before and hey, it’s totally a vibe! LOCATION Our tiny house is a short walk to Neptune's Staircase (canal) and the start of the Great Glen Way, just off the road to the Isles and Skye, 20 minutes to Glenfinnan Viaduct (as featured in Harry Potter) and only a 15 minute drive to the base of Ben Nevis and Nevis Range ski resort/mountain biking. You are definitely well connected to everywhere you need to be in the Highlands. A car is recommended however not required as there are transport links. Take a taxi/bus to the town centre if you want to go down town for a meal and a couple of drinks. Nearest bus stop: 5 min walk Nearest train station (to see the Harry Potter train): 5 min walk Nearest pub/restaurant: 2 min walk Nearest shop: 20 min walk Other things to note We are a young couple living in the beautiful Highlands. One half of us is a local born and bred, and the other half is a non-native from England, and so when we come together, we see the area from different perspectives. We appreciate its beauty for what it is, but also know where to go to get off the beaten path and away from the tourist hot spots. We'd love to share this information with our guests and are really looking forward to hosting you all. When designing this tiny house, we fit everything around the view, having the mountain landscape as the feature, together with maximising luxury and comfort. So, pop your feet up, and enjoy what this place has to offer! One of our goals is for our tiny house to be as eco-friendly as possible, eventually hoping to go off-grid. Although we are early in our eco-journey, we are doing as much as we can, including limiting and avoiding single-use plastics where possible. We refill our soap from the local Highland Soap Factory (which is definitely worth a visit!) using glass bottles. We refill our washing up liquid, surface cleaner and washing detergents from a local refill dispenser (all of which are eco-friendly and kind to the environment and your skin). Our garden is a working project - we have a vision to re-wild our space with Native, Scottish plants whilst maintaining it's tropical themes. We live on-site next door, however are completely detached from the tiny house. We respect you may want your trip to be private/secluded, therefore we will not encroach on your space. However, we are on hand if you require anything, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you do. We are the last house situated on a single-track road, with only a quarry past us. We have another property we let out next door to the tiny house. Both properties are entirely separate and have their own parking and garden private spaces. Please respect each other’s personal space and keep in mind our quiet hours between 11pm-7am.
