The main house consists of two holiday apartments. The house is originally from the 1800s, and has recently been completely renovated. The apartment has a modern architecture, with elements of the traditional building style. There are large windows that create proximity to nature and let in a lot of light. Views of fjords and mountains, as well as large garden and cultivated land. At Store Løvø Farm there are two residential houses, a barn building and a boathouse. The hosts are a family of four, with two girls aged 11 and 15, and live in the neighboring house to the main house. In the barn there are stables, sheep pens and chicken houses. The sheep, horses and chickens are mostly outside all year. During the hay season, there will be activity with tractors on the fields for a few days. In the boathouse there was originally a general store and post office that was run from 1880 to the 1950s. Previously, you had to use a boat to get to Storlauvøya, but the island became landfast in 1989 when the Atlantic Road was built. There are many great hiking opportunities in the nearby area, with both short and long mountain hikes, several nice hiking trails along the coast. A short boat ride away from Storlauvøya is Håholmen Havstuer with restaurant and pub. Bjartmars Favorittkro is located about 1.5 km from the island, and here you can buy traditional food. It is about 2 km to a grocery store and gas station. Guest access In the lake house there are 4 kayaks if you can use freely. There are large lawns on the property that can be used for play and ball games.
