Cosy, family friendly cabin close to lake

Cozy cottage in the middle of beautiful squares 5 minutes to swimming for all ages. Swim, kajak, go rowing boat, go fishing, picking berries and mushrooms, hiking, biking, walking, scouting on beaver and sea eagles or going into Stockholm city over the day. 1 hour by car, 1.5-2 hours by bus. The car ferry to the island is free and departs every 30 minutes and takes less than 10 minutes. On our island you have an amazing restaurant, a local rural grocery store and boats going to the world heritage Birka - Vikingastaden. The space The big cottage consists of an open space that combines kitchenette, dining area, a living room area that can be turned into sleeping 2 people and a loft with room for another 2 people. There is another cozy little cottage just outside that can house one person, possibly two if they don't mind sharing a 120 cm bed. Both cabins have patios with furniture for both dinners and sunbathing. There is an outdoor toilet, an outdoor shower with hot water. Note that there is only cold water in all other faucets than in the shower. For toddlers there is an inflatable pool, a large swing and a small sandbox to play in. There are bathrooms for all ages. Långgrunda beaches, piers and rock baths. If you like to hike, there is Adelsöleden that goes around most of the island and takes about 6 hours to walk. There are two bikes that you are welcome to use for free. Additional bikes can be rented for a fee. There are two kayaks that you can rent. 150 sek per kayak and day. Also a boat that takes 6 persons. The rent is 600 sek per day if you use the engine, 200 if you only use oars. There are two life vests for adults and one for toddlers. Fishing equipment is available to borrow. To get to the island there is a ferry that is free that goes every 30 minutes and takes less than 10 minutes to get over. There is a bus stop 10 minutes walk from the cottage. Public transport takes you into central Stockholm in 1.5 - 2 hours. By car you make the same trip in 1 hour. Café Hovgården offers really good food and has a wonderful environment. Adelsö Butik not only offers the standard range but also nicer, locally produced goods. In the far south of the island there is a passenger ferry that takes you over to the World Heritage Birka - Viking town. There are also many ancient remains on Adelsö. Guest access You will have the whole property at your disposal. We who rent out live in downtown Stockholm. Other things to note This is a cottage with basic standards. Linens are included in the price. Bring your own towel ;)
