Modern House in East Austin! Beautiful light, huge windows, blackout shades, new comfy beds, and well outfitted kitchen. Stumbling distance to Fleet Coffee, Kitty Cohen's Retro Bar, Gourmand's and way too many beloved local spots to list. Great access to Downtown, UT campus, The Austin Bouldering Project, and all of the hotspots along East 6th, East 11th, East Cesar Chavez, and Manor! Ideal for couples, small groups of friends, festival goers, UT parents, and business travel. The space: Modern renovation of a classic East Austin house. This is our actual home and we hope you fall in love with it as much as we have! UPDATES: NEW FURNITURE + TELEVISIONS + RECORD PLAYER As of March 2017: New RECORD PLAYER + new large TV in living room. Smaller TV moved to master bedroom. Both TVs are hooked up to Roku and already logged into Hulu, Netflix, etc. As of December 2016, we made a serious upgrade to the living room furniture with a luxurious, modern couch, chair, and coffee table. If you’re familiar with SONOS there is a speaker in the front window by the table you can sync up with over the wifi. House: Main area is an open floor plan connecting the luxurious sitting room with huge picture window onto front yard, the dining area with sliding door to side of house, and well outfitted kitchen. Master bedroom with ensuite master bathroom. California king size bed, Leesa mattress, Japanese style at ground level. Floor-to-ceiling windows with blackout shades. Master shower has three shower heads and I assure you that you won't want to get out! Guest bedroom has queen sized bed, Leesa mattress on frame with headboard. Closet in room and guest bathroom immediately outside of bedroom door. Slim retro-modern couch for relaxing in private or throwing suitcases on. Floor-to-ceiling window looking onto backyard, with blackout shade. Two smaller accent windows for beautiful morning light. WARNING: Friends who have stayed at our place have reported being late to the music festivals and conferences they came to town for because they enjoyed the house and neighborhood so much they had trouble working up the motivation to leave the house :) We love sharing our neighborhood with everyone who comes to Austin and I promise that the hardest part of your stay will be deciding which fabulous coffee shop, restaurant, or cocktail bar to stroll to! Guest access: Guests will receive a digital code for the front door for easy, anytime access and convenient check-in. No need to worry about losing your house key at SXSW, ACL or while out enjoying a brewery pub crawl! Codes automatically expire at checkout. Interaction with guests: We're always available by phone or email but we also have great friends nearby who can assist you in case we're traveling and you can't get in touch with us immediately. A few items that might come in handy during your stay depending on what you're up to: - Working on the Road: Laptop Stand [Rain Design mStand] and Apple External Keyboard [usb] - Mobility Junkie: Foam roller, 4 different sized "lacrosse balls" including one the size of a child's head haha - Yogi: 4 yoga mats [2 are excellent quality manduka, one of which is even extra long], yoga blocks. Maintain your practice with a session at the house or hit up one of the local studios nearby!
