Light-filled studio w\ bath—Perfect for Travelers!

Relax at this centrally-located studio (in my rental home) w your own bath in historic Las Vegas, New Mexico. Back in the late 1800s, this was THE biggest city in the territory. Who passed through here? Only Billy the Kid, Doc Holiday, and Theodore Roosevelt, to name a few. You've stayed in Santa Fe; now make Las Vegas--one hour east--a stop in your explorations of the Southwest. From here, meander through the beautiful countryside of northern-central New Mexico and on into southern Colorado. The space You’ll have your own separate studio with a queen bed, new lounge chair, a velvet love seat, TV with cable, a pellet stove, books galore, a small desk and chair, a kitchenette with a new toaster oven and electric kettle & French press, and windows, windows, windows! Plus your own fully stocked bathroom. Shared spaces include the front door and hallway to your studio. My full kitchen is available to you, as well as a washer & dryer. The den I hang out in is at the opposite end of the house from the studio so we all have a good amount of privacy. Welcome! Guest access Washer and dryer Full kitchen Other things to note My tabby cat, Sparky, and Terrier/Heeler-mix pup Shorty are my roommates, but won’t intrude into the studio. They don’t expect to enter your space. You’re welcome to invite them in to visit but please—not on the furniture! I’m talking to you, Shorty. 🐾 Speaking of Shorty, he is nearly incorrigible when it comes to jumping up on people out of exuberant friendliness. I encourage my guests to use one of the spray bottles to remind him to jumping on people is bad manners. Shorty and I do not take this personally, so please don’t be shy about helping him mind. Oh, and there are pet ducks and chickens next door just for that small-farm atmosphere. Just to be clear: The entry into the studio is separated from the rest of the house by a door that you can lock; however, even if you leave it unlocked, I don’t go in —ever—unless invited or in case of emergency. The only exception would be if I have good reason to believe drugs or alcohol are on the premises. If you can't book for a full 30 days, please go ahead and book on my calendar anyway. Once you do that, we can communicate freely and you'll be able to edit your dates.
