In the heart of Rome countryside and close to the sea, you can experience the historical beauty of the city while staying in an enchanting location in the woods. By car it is 30 minutes away from the Colosseum, 20 mins from the airport (FCO) and 15 mins from the seaside At Green Woody Home we offer an eco-conscious living experience by providing energy and heat entirely powered by our solar panels. Your stay will be a truly “green” experience. NB: Having a car is mandatory to reach the house The space The villa offers a house with 130 sqm on one floor and a garden of 1500 sqm. A large space is dedicated to car parks and an outdoor dining area with barbecue. In addition, there is a small vegetable garden with different types of crops from strawberries to eggplant, zucchini and tomatoes. Guest access You will have the whole house for you. Everything is provided from towels, to bed sheets, kitchenware and barbecue (with wood to light it). Other things to note 1) Rome takes care of separating waste as follows: - plastic -> yellow - paper -> blue - organic (food waste) -> brown - mixed-waste -> gray - glass -> green (outside of the private area near the green gate) 2) If you prefer not to rent a car, we have a partnership with a taxi who can bring you around Rome. You can find the contact in the host guide if you would like to hear more details about prices and availability. 3) If you are interested in a culinary experience or catering by a professional chef, we also offer a partnership with Cristina Amato. She is a chef specializing in live cooking classes where you can learn how to make pizza, pasta or steak at the barbecue; but she is also available for delivery of high-end meals on request. If you want to know more you can find some business cards in the house. 4) A smaller house is present in the garden. It may be occupied by other people in some days.
