Description
Escape to the country for a stay in this cosy farmhouse, nestled in the Suffolk countryside, just 10 minutes from the famous horse racing town Newmarket. The house has bags of character dating back to the 16th century with exposed beams, inglenook fireplaces and a thatch roof. It’s on the edge of a quiet village, surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots of walks from your door. It’s perfect for a family break and we’re dog friendly too. The space This is an old farmhouse with lots of character and exposed beams. The spacious kitchen has a double electric oven, microwave and double sink and double doors which open onto the patio and garden. Next to the kitchen there is a boot room for coats and wellies and a downstairs loo. From the kitchen you walk through into the dinning room, with a beautiful mahogany dining table and large inglenook fireplace with a log burner. From the dinning room you walk through into the cosy sitting room with built in bookshelves, log burner and comfy sofa and armchairs to relax in. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom with a super king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and it’s own staircase leading up from the hall. There are two further double bedrooms with king size beds, one up a further flight of stairs. Please note some of the staircases in the house are steep and narrow. There are two children’s rooms with twin beds - one of these twins can be made into a double should this be required. The top children’s bedroom is nestled away up it’s own staircase and has beautiful wood panelling. Outside the back of the house is a patio with table and benches for sitting out in the sunshine and a spacious garden with a child’s Wendy house. There is also a front garden with apple tree and vegetable patch. The house is East West facing so you get a lot of sun throughout the day. We are very happy to welcome dogs too.
