Our casita is perfectly located in the beautiful and historic neighborhood of San Roque. It is a stately little house with wooden beams, waxed handmade clay floors, and a lot of character. The neighborhood is one of the oldest in Alicante at the base of the famous Santa Bárbara Castle... The space The casita has a private entrance which immediately upon entry you will find a picturesque indoor courtyard. From the courtyard and entering in to the living quarters you will find a large open plan layout with high ceiling containing the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Relax in cool comfort – fully air-conditioned home! Entering from the living quarters you will find a large bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a full bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. Also from the living quarters, you will find access to the upstairs level and the rooftop terrace overlooking the city skyline and Santa Barabra Castle. Other things to note Please note that the sofa is not intended for sleeping and may not be used as an additional bed. The apartment accommodates guests according to the sleeping arrangements shown in the listing, and we kindly ask that guests book accordingly. Celebrations, Festivals, and Holidays Carnaval (Carnival) When: February (week before Lent) What: Parades, costumes, live music, and street parties Warning: Loud music well into the early hours of the morning (4am). Semana Santa (Holy Week) When: March or April (dates vary yearly) What: Religious processions throughout the city with traditional floats (pasos) and music. Hogueras de San Juan (Bonfires of Saint John) When: June 20–24 What: Alicante’s biggest festival. Huge paper monuments are built and burned in celebration of the summer solstice. Warning: Loud music well into the early hours of the morning (4am). Nochebuena & Navidad (Christmas Eve & Christmas Day) When: December 24–25 What: Family meals and midnight Mass. Nochevieja en Alicante (New Year's Eve) is a joyful, lively celebration full of parties, music, and traditions—both local and Spanish-wide. While it’s not as massive as Hogueras, Alicante still offers a festive and unforgettable way to ring in the New Year. Warning: Loud music well into the early hours of the morning (4am).
