Plenty of outdoor living space with 2 decks and a screened in porch. This is is our lake getaway and everything was redone in 2019. Close to MVNU and Kenyon for college events. Amish towns are nearby. Bring your canoe or kayak-river access is 8 minutes away. Rent canoes, bikes or hike to the Honey Run waterfall. The space This is a lake view cottage with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms - 1 with a shower only, 1 with a tub/shower. Central air conditioning. The kitchen has everything you need - including an Insta-pot, toaster oven, blender, microwave, all utensils, spices, pots and pans, glasses, cups, both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig. We provide you with coffee, creamers, tea bags, and sugar/sweetener. 2 bedrooms upstairs share a Jack and Jill bathroom. We provide all linens and even shampoo and body wash. The couch reclines at either end and in the cooler months the TV stand opens up to reveal a small gas-type fireplace to cozy up with a blanket, cup of coffee or a glass of local wine (we provide you with 2 bottles). There is a stackable w/d near the back door. There is a screened-in porch. There is a large gas grill and outdoor dining space. Sorry - the hottub isn’t connected yet. 😕This house is very close to the Apple Valley campground and perfect for an extended family gathering. It is on the main road in the neighborhood so it can be busy but the large driveway has spots for up to 3 cars and plenty of room for a trailer with canoes, kayaks, etc. Unfortunately the Homeowners Association does not allow non-residents to use the lake or beaches, but the top-rated Apple Valley golf course is open to the public so plan a golf weekend! There is a Subway, pizza place and a full service restaurant very close. Nearby Mt. Vernon, OH has shopping, multiple restaurants and events. We are very close to Amish country which means great bakeries but also buggies traveling on the roads so please be careful. The cottage is stocked with everything you need for a getaway, golf weekend, or if you are camping and need extra space. Guest access The house, screened-in porch, and large backyard are all available for guests. The garage is private. Other things to note The lake, beaches and pool are for residents only. The golf course and lake views are open for all!
