Cozy, newly renovated 2BR cabin on the grounds of Kin Cabins. Amenities include an electric indoor fireplace, shared outdoor fire pits, and a canoe and two kayaks. Kin Cabins sits one street behind Lake Margrethe, with nearby road-end access to the lake. Grayling is a perfect place to visit anytime of the year with local attractions including canoe/kayak rental, riding trails, Hartwick Pines State Park, Hanson Hills, and the Manistee and Ausable rivers. The space Hi, let us introduce ourselves! We are Kin Cabins; a family owned, operated, and renovated cabin resort comprised of 3 cabins, a house, and A camper. What makes Kin Cabins so special is right in the name- family. You can see the impact family has had on our cabins through out the entire resort. From the tribute names of each cabin, to the physical cabins themselves. Almost every part of our cabins have been renovated and worked on by a family member or friend. Kin Cabins is now being run by father-son co-owners Kent and Kian. Kian handles the booking and customer service, while Kent handles the on-site management and the continued renovation of the resort. From complete renovation of the inside and outside of the cabins, down to the little details like custom shelving and headboards, Kent has taken great pride in making the resort a place for all to enjoy. The cabins are fairly close in proximity, perfect for groups looking to rent multiple cabins. But, If you are someone who is looking to enjoy some peace and quiet, our cabins are perfect for that too. Our Shelly J Cabin is a 2BR cabin with one queen bed and twin bunk beds. The Main room has a small kitchen complete with a coffee maker, microwave, and basic cooking essentials. There is also a dining table, love-seat, and 2 recliners offering plenty of seating. All of our cabins have a TV, Wi-Fi, AC and heat, and an electric fireplace. If you’re pulling a trailer we have trailer parking at the front of the property off of Margrethe Blvd, and 2 car parking by the cabin. While we are open for business, we are still finishing renovations with future amenities to come including patios and a fish cleaning station. Guest access Guests have outdoor access to all of the property including fire pits, outdoor dining furniture, 2 kayaks and a canoe. We just ask that you keep a respectable distance from other guests cabins and the house, and children should not be left unattended. Other things to note Check in is at 4 and check out is at 11, but if you would like to earlier or later feel free to contact us and we will try to accommodate you. Smoking on premises allowed but outdoors only and at a respectable distance of other guests. Firewood is usually supplied but not guaranteed. If you are looking to book for an event we require that you book the entire resort.
