The Colgate Cabin - Catskills Farmhouse meets French country in the middle of the mountain range. This 100+ year old home has been lovingly renovated with modern style and amenities to offer your group the most private, comfortable, styled experience in the Catskills. We are centrally located with quick access to Colgate Lake, Hunter & Windham Mountain, Downtown Tannersville, and hiking trails. The space The cabin is a 3 bedroom, 1100 square foot home located on private and serene grounds with no visible neighbors. Being in one of the most private locations does come with little cell service, however, our wifi is top notch and works perfectly with wifi calling. The space has been recently updated and provides guests a cozy and modern space with old farmhouse charm and aesthetics. We are 1 mile to Colgate Lake (bring your own beach towels), 15 minutes to Hunter Mountain, and 20 minutes to Windham Mountain. Hiking surrounds us. We offer window AC units during the summer months in each of the bedrooms. *Please note that AC units are not installed until mid/late June. The mountains still have very cold nights, often requiring the heat to be used. Please open the windows and let the fresh breeze in to naturally keep the house comfortable. There are fans in every bedroom to help circulate cool air also. *We offer our guests a fire pit and seating, but we do not provide any of the fire materials - wood, starter logs, starter fluid etc. Please plan on purchasing these items if you wish to use the outdoor fire pit. Guest access Guests can expect to have private access to the first and second floor of the home, and all grounds. Other things to note We are NOT investors hosting tourists, we live here full-time, offering exclusive access to the best LOCAL advice on hiking, skiing, food, etc. Your home stay is important, but so are your hosts! Please trust you'll have the attention to detail in every aspect of your visit.
