River Views Spa and Private Retreat

Retreat from the world at this peaceful and centrally located haven with all you need - your own private space to explore world heritage sites, beautiful local beaches, and coastal bike paths. Bring your small quiet and loved pooch, relax, use our bikes, or bring your kayak, or just enjoy the vineyards, local beaches and attractions ** Please note the property is not entirely fenced. You will need to control your dog at all times as there is a lot of local wildlife and local farm animals. The space River Retreat is a Hamptons style home built in 1972 on 3 acres, the house is divided into two private separate studios with separate access, your own kitchen and bathroom/s, and garden space. Explore local attractions, world heritage sites, beautiful local beaches, and coastal bike paths. You can hire our own new electric bikes x 2 for a one off hire fee of $50 per stay, charged ready to use with carriers, helmet and locks. If you advise us, you can bring your small quiet and loved dog, who is catered for and items provided for a one off fee of $50 to cover extra cleaning - please book and message us so that we can send information and provide for them. Dogs are welcome at our local Berry Patch, and the Little Riva Cafe or Beach Cafe in Ulverstone where they have their own menu! You are welcome to wander the grounds to explore, keeping in mind the privacy of neighbours - there are fig and apple 🍎 trees on the property and you are welcome to pick your own between February and April when they are in season. There is a barbecue available on the front verandah and you can use the gazebo or front garden to admire the beautiful sunsets over the river. You will see local bird life, occasionally a wandering duck or raptor chasing rabbits and the many water birds close by that enjoy the river lands, including white goshawks, masked owls and sea eagles. Guest access Your entire studio apartment is yours to use 24/7 with digital keypad access, we will send the details prior to your stay. Other things to note Most people are happy with privacy and space, however If you would like to meet us please let us know, we are more than happy to answer any questions about the retreat or many local attractions, we both love our area, and we are around as we live 500m up the road.
