Light- Filled Family Cabin w/ Mountain Views
Light- Filled Family Cabin w/ Mountain Views
Description
Les Sapins is our cozy, mountain cabin surrounded by trees with views of distant mountains and sunsets from a deck and many windows. The cabin has two baths, one bedroom and a large living room with a sofa bed and original art. Our lot has over 150 trees with a pathway down the slope and signs to identify trees. Informal trails for hiking and ATVs are nearby in the Lincoln National Forest. We see wildlife everyday and hear coyotes at night. We named our cabin for the Swiss chalet where we met! The space Our family cabin is best suited for guests who can commit firmly to their travel dates. Because we keep our calendar blocked just for you and have fixed cleaning and operating costs, we’re not able to offer refunds for cancellations outside Airbnb’s policies. For extra peace of mind, we strongly recommend adding Airbnb’s trip insurance at checkout so you’re protected if travel plans change unexpectedly. The cabin sits on a wooded slope with decks, stairs, and a fenced grassy area; children should be supervised outdoors, and the terrain may not be suitable for all mobility levels. This is a quiet, mountain neighborhood, so we ask guests to keep noise low, especially in the evenings. Wildlife is common in the area—please keep doors closed, store food inside, and secure trash. The outdoor fireplace may only be used when local fire conditions allow, must never be left unattended, and should be fully extinguished after each use. Our place is very family‑friendly but not fully child‑proofed, so parents and caregivers should supervise young children at all times. Guest access Guests have full, private use of the cabin, fenced yard, partial wraparound deck, and outdoor fireplace. Self check‑in is easy with a lockbox at the entrance; we’ll send your unique code on the day of arrival. There is parking for up to 2 vehicles between two separate driveways beside the cabin, with a short walk up a sloped path and stairs to the main door. The surrounding forest and informal trails are yours to explore—please supervise children outdoors and respect any posted fire restrictions. Other things to note Other things to note: This is a true mountain cabin, so weather can change quickly—snow, ice, and fog are possible in cooler months, and 4WD or AWD may be helpful when storms move through. Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier, so please download directions before you drive up. We treat the forest as our backyard: no smoking outdoors, no fireworks, and please follow all posted fire restrictions. Wildlife is common in the area; do not feed animals and always keep trash secured in the bins provided. Finally, our home is on a slope with stairs and elevated decks, so it may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility, and children should be supervised outside at all times. We highly recommend purchasing the Airbnb travel insurance. It costs next to nothing and will cover you in case of cancellations.
