Set within a sunnier and dryer sweet spot compared to the surrounding area, the studio provides modern and deluxe self-catering accommodation with a well-equipped high specification kitchenette together with an elegant shower room. The king size folding wall bed offers you the opportunity of maximising the space during the day and then transforms the studio in the evening into a cosy haven for sleeping. The space Decorated and furnished to a deluxe standard throughout. Attention has been paid to every detail in preparing this space for our guests, with a strong emphasis on what is good for health, wellbeing and the environment. Snuggling down under a natural wool Devon Duvet on a wool and cotton top layer mattress with pure cotton bedding ensures a good nights sleep. With bedding carefully washed with Ecover Zero plant based biodegradable laundry liquid, together with environmentally friendly Lakeland Paint throughout, you are assured of a healthy haven to retreat too. With solid wood flooring and PFA free stainless steel pans and cooking utensils, you'll have peace of mind while relaxing to the sound of the local wildlife through an open window. Grid supplied renewable electricity with electric hob and combination microwave oven also make for a cleaner, healthier environment within the studio. In addition to all this care for our guests, we'll also plant a tree in our Trees for Life grove to offset the carbon footprint from your visit. Guest access Access is via the external accessible slope into a shared foyer. Doors from the foyer take you into the studio and shower room. Other things to note Ready for adventure… Tempted by some canoeing or paddleboarding while staying at Loch Shiel Studio? I can take our guests out for the day (10-4) either on the tranquil Loch Shiel or the majestic Loch Moidart with its abundance of wildlife. The cost is £100 per person for the day and includes packed lunch and all the equipment you will need (except clothing such as swimwear, wet suit or wet weather gear). I also offer afternoon (1-4) paddleboarding at £50 per person. Arrangements made are subject to my availability as well as suitable water and weather conditions. As such I can only confirm bookings and take payment after your arrival at the studio. Should you wish to make other arrangements in advance, then you may want to consider local operators such as Otter Adventures (Strontian) and Rock Hopper (Arisaig). The serious stuff… No smoking, vaping, candles, naked flames, tealights or pets please! We also request that no sprays or chemical repellents (such as DEET, Smidge etc.) are used within the studio to avoid contamination of the food preparation areas and general living space. Acceptable conduct… as you would expect, we require all activities on our property to be lawful and considerate to those around you and the environment. As such please ensure noise is kept to a minimum in and around the property after 10pm and before 9am and please do not leave engines running while stationary on the driveway. Only the individual or pair who have booked the studio may access the property (including the patio and garden) during the period of the booking.
