Cottage in Woodstock
Description
Cozy, quirky, and very convenient! Welcome to our humble, pet friendly cottage in the White Mountains. This unique cottage duplex is our home base for hiking, skiing, and paddling, and we're happy to share it with you! Tucked away on the edge of the village of North Woodstock, our modest retreat is a stones throw from all the excitement the region has to offer. Take a short walk to the nearest swimming hole, explore the National Forest, and be back in time to enjoy dinner on the back deck! The space Important: Please read the full description and message us with any questions or concerns! As you can see by the reviews, our guests typically love our space, but we understand that it's not for everyone. We want you to have a good stay in a place that you'll enjoy, and having clear exceptions is an important part of that. You'll be staying in the sunny west side of the two unit building, with views of Parker Ledge, the Green Bridge, and the surrounding woods. This two unit building was built in the 1970's as a small ski chalet for two families. Each of the two units is private and self contained, with a private deck. There's a small eat-in kitchen with a full size fridge and stove, so you can easily prepare light meals, and keep a full supply of cold beverages on hand. Up the narrow spiral staircase, you'll find two cozy rooms with king and queen sizes beds respectively. Between the two bedrooms is a small 3/4 bath with a simple shower stall, sink, and toilet. The total interior space of the unit is a little over 500 sq feet. While comfortable for two adults, it can feel tight for four adults who are used to bigger spaces and full sized bathrooms. The space is great for those who love the coziness and quirks of an old cottage, but not an adequate substitute for the resorts and more premium hotels the area has to offer. Outside, you'll find a fire pit, a gas grill, and a good sized deck for enjoying delicious meals, and good company. Each unit has a private deck, while the rest of the outside space is shared. On clear winter days, you can can catch summit views from the back deck! Guest access Guests have full private access to this unit, the private back deck, the shared front deck, shared yard, and parking. There's enough space for our guests to have two cars parked on the property.
