Lavender Hill-walk to town and saltwater pool

This private two room suite with separate entrance in our one-of-a-kind 1915 cottage is walkable to town and has a saltwater pool and outdoor shower. Enjoy the patio and gardens in peaceful privacy. We'll stoke the firepit for you on cool evenings. The rooms are decorated with period furnishings our own and friends' original art. As an old conductor used to say as the train approached the station: "Try on your hat, Try on your coat, TRYON North Carolina! The space Modern conveniences blend with invaluable charm in our 1915 foothills home. Your suite’s sitting room has a 10 foot ceiling. All walls are rustic plaster and lathe and all doors are solid wood. The entire house also has original rolled glass windows and hardwood floors. Lavender Hill was built for the artist Jean Stansbury Holden. Visit the Holden wing of the Tryon Private Library to learn more about this remarkable family.
