The space Our Chemically Sensitive cabin is nestled in between multiple National Forests in East Texas, this cozy modern rustic cottage has high ceilings with raw wood beams straight from the adjoining 20-acre “enchanted forest.” The smell of the natural fresh-cut wood radiates throughout the home and we use use all Fragrance Free/Least Toxic Products available. Cottage amenities include a wood-burning fireplace, high quality furniture, mattresses, and cookware. One dedicated workspace, plus seating areas are provided throughout the three bedrooms right off of the main living area. Two full bathtubs available for soaking & relaxing, one in each bathroom. There are two covered patios with seating areas, one on each side of the cottage. The covered patio facing the large backyard includes a patio fan, grill, and an outdoor dining area. Ready for you to enjoy: - Fast WIFI - Full size fridge - Stove top - Microwave - Countertop convection oven (with baking sheets) - Stocked cookware with utensils - Coffee & Tea Station: Keurig tea and coffee/cappuccino/espresso maker with pods for caffeine, decaf, and a variety of tea. We refrain from the use of detergents such as Tide for sheets & towels for those who are sensitive to hormone disrupting fragrances. We do use organic non-toxic cleaners, hypo-allergenic soaps and detergents, and other various plant based (chemical free) products. We invite you to enjoy the provided organic essential oil lavender pillow spray as you sink into a peaceful night of sleep. Neches River access is on site and available for non-motorized water sports launching. Boat launch is only 8 miles from cottage :) *NOTE: Please ensure your #of guests is accurate in your search bar. Our pricing is based on 4 guests. Guest 5&6 incur a slight increase for the large group nightly rate. This is done to make sure couples and groups of 4 receive the best pricing possible (rather than small groups being charged the same as larger groups)! ORGANIC HOSTING: Those with sensitive skin, allergies to common toxic household chemicals, and who are consciously aware of the products they use in their own life will appreciate our organic non-toxic cleaners, hypo-allergenic soaps and detergents, and other various plant based (chemical free) products. (Note: Please bring your own preferred mosquito spray or deterrents that fit your needs for outdoor fun.) - Because of our focus on fragrance sensitive we ask that guests refrain from bringing/wearing cologne & perfume while in the cottage. Most are not aware but residue of Tide/Era/Ajax/All/Arm & Hammer and especially "scent boosters" are extremely harmful and stay on the furniture long after guests leave and we require extra cleaning/airing out time when guests bring this type of clothing to our property. Guest access Access to entire cottage and oversized fenced/tree lined yard provided with this listing (Please reference the Welcome Manual Map and be respectful of the private areas neighboring the cottage). Your welcome manual will also provide directions to the host's private Neches River access which is a short walk down the private road from the cottage door. Once at the river you have access to a beautiful river landing to lounge, fish, launch your kayak! Other things to note We are truly in nature, you may encounter God’s creatures and critters of the East Texas woods and water (if utilizing the river). Please stay aware of your surroundings and remain respectful to the power of nature’s beings.
