Country Life Camping

A comfortable 10x 12 canvas tent on a magic camp site surrounded by mother nature. A hiking trail begins directly on the property and leads through miles of NYC environmental protected land forests and meadows passing a beautiful hidden swim pond with stunning views 3 minutes from the campsite. Pets are welcome, perfect spot for dogs to run off their leash ! The central village of Andes is just a 15 minute drive. Margaretville is 25 minutes away. This a comfortable canvas tent includes a queen size bed , an air mattress and a wood burning fire stove. The campsite includes a picnic table, a fire pit with a grill, solar shower and a compost toilet. It’s a short 3-5 minute walk down a gentle slope to the campsite. We provide two 2 gallon glass jugs of drinking water, additional water for showers and cooking can be filled with a hose on the edge of the pond near the house or at the little stream downhill the campsite. There is a camp stove in the tent as well to keep you warm at night. We don’t provide cut bundles of firewood but there’s a saw in the tent which you’re welcome to use to cut any downed wood lying on the ground. A big wind storm knocked down many branches last year. If you prefer, you can purchase cut firewood at our convenience store. What to bring : We don't provide bedding, please bring your own warm sleeping bags, nights can get cold up here. There will be a fitted sheet on the air mattress in the tent, but please bring your own sheets to place on top of it. We don’t provide cooking equipment and dishes, but there is a grill on the fire pit. Bring a cooler, ice can be purchased at the Tremperskill convenient store. Because of the limited supply we don't provide toilet paper. You be able to purchase toilet paper at the Fresh Town food store in Margaretville but they only allow one roll per person. Please be aware that there is no cell or internet service on the property. Please bring a mask for each person, shopping without a mask puts everyone at risk.
