Small corner of paradise... For nature lovers, the Liresse gîte is the ideal place to relax located in the middle of the Semois Valley National Park in the Belgian Ardennes, 4 km from Rochehaut. Specially designed to accommodate 12 people, it has a relaxation area with video games, board games and Wi-Fi, a billiard room, a large dining room, a living room with fireplace as well as bright verandas. The space All 4 bedrooms have their own bathroom, offering a cozy and comfortable environment for a good night's sleep. An equipped kitchen and a professional kitchen allow the preparation of small or large meals as well as the organization of cooking classes, seminar meals or team building. Guests can enjoy a furnished terrace, a large table inside and outside that can accommodate all guests, a barbecue and an outdoor lounge overlooking one of the ponds and the surrounding nature. Guest access The gîte park is a real green setting that offers an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty. Spanning several hectares, it is carefully designed to ensure harmony between local plants and relaxation facilities. Three ponds and a lake adorn the park. Birdwatching and fishing (trout in summer, pike and carp in winter) will have a relaxing effect ideal for relaxing and disconnecting from your worries. Several picnic tables are placed at different viewpoints in the park. Children will appreciate this large space with a meadow with sheep of the Ardennes red breed. Nothing like a little boat ride on the lake, in the setting sun, to reconnect with nature! And why not end the evening around a small campfire by the water! Other things to note Possible activities on the gite site: • Fishing (subject to conditions) Fishing Rules and Fees at the Liresse Vacation Rental – January 2026 The gîte has three ponds; only the pond to the right of the house can be used for trout fishing. We regularly restock this pond. For its maintenance and restocking, there is a fee for fishing. • Towel rental is available on-site for €10/person. • The pond rental fee is €300 for the first day (€150 for half a day) for a maximum of 12 anglers and two rods per angler, with 10 kg (22 lbs) of trout stocked at the start of the stay. • For any additional day, a fee of €100 per day or €50 per half-day is charged. • A surcharge of €100 will be applied for each additional 10 kg of trout. • The rental rate for the pond for 6 days is €700. (10 kg of trout released on the first day.) Prior to their stay, the tenant must inform the landlord of the number of full or half days of fishing, the chosen day, and the desired number of kilograms of trout. (The person who delivers the trout doesn't come overnight.) Payment will be made directly to the landlord on the first day. Only trout weighing 300 to 400 g may be caught; larger trout must be released unharmed, as they are used for breeding. Night fishing is not allowed. The barbs of the hooks must be crushed to avoid unnecessarily injuring the trout you release back into the water. Fishing in the large pond is currently not available. Guests may not fish in the two smallest ponds. The trout fishing pond is monitored by cameras. Please note that we do not provide fishing equipment. There is a charge for wood for the fireplace (€15 per bag, available on site), and for the brazier, we charge €10 per wheelbarrow load. The guest must bring charcoal for the barbecue. • Free boat rides. Children are the responsibility of the parents. They must not be alone around the ponds, near the river, or on the boat. .
