**Boat Access Only** Water Taxi Available. Take it easy and relax at this unique tranquil getaway. Our Cabin is located on the historic Ireson Island, home to the Mordolphton Fishing Lodge, later named The Island Lodge, established in the 1920's. The Bay of Islands is a great area to fish, swim, kayak, paddleboat and enjoy other water activities. Hikers and Bird watching enthusiasts are in for a real treat. Experience the serenity and peaceful environment remote living can offer. The space This is an island property that is by **Boat Access Only**. We are able to pick you up for your stay at the landing in Birch Island, and return you at checkout. Any additional boat rides will be $20 roundtrip. Feel free to bring your own boat. There is a free boat launch at the Marina, and lots of dock space at the island. This rustic lakefront cabin has two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a comfy Queen bed, and bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. Cozy living room, with kitchenette allows you to cook your food while enjoying the great wilderness view. The mini kitchen includes fridge/freezer, coffee maker, hot plate, microwave, toaster, and kettle. (BBQ on the deck) Guest access Guests have private access to the cabin and private deck with adirondack chairs and BBQ. Guests can also enjoy the rustic waterfront pebble/sand beach, 2 person kayak and paddleboat. Docks are available for fishing and swimming. Note that the waterfront is a shared space with the owners of the island, their family and guests. Other things to note Also note that the water out of the tap is not potable. **Please bring your own drinking water.** Please understand that this is a wilderness cabin, and seasonal insects and bugs are a part of the wilderness. We hope you will enjoy the outdoors and all that it provides.
