Perfect Fishtown Rowhome
Description
Great place for a family or small group of friends. City vibes in a tiny side street (more of an alley) with friendly but private neighbors. Steps away from the action, but relaxed and tucked away from the noise. The space Our new construction home has been around just long enough to have all the details ironed out. It is a typical Philadelphia row house that is set up vertically, so if you have been wanting to add stairs to your daily step count, this is the place for you! Enter on the Ground Floor to an open floor plan with dining, living and kitchen areas. The dining table expands to twice its size, and we have chairs that can be lowered to table or bar height. TV with Roku soundbar, and an ultra comfy couch with removable upholstery that is routinely laundered, so you can stretch your legs after a day wandering around the city. The kitchen is a fully stocked chef's dream with copper bottomed steel pans, multiple coffee makers (no keurig), a kettle good enough for British visitors, lots of table ware, utensils and even an instapot. The small, private back deck has a gas grill. Second Floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The Front Bedroom is set up as a library, with a full sized bed and a desk area for working. The bed can be folded up as a futon for smaller groups that want to use this as an office or lounge, but you would never know it by the comfortable and sturdy mattress. The hall bathroom has StarWars wallpaper and artwork, a divine shower head with tons of water pressure, and a pristine bathtub that is wide enough for a regular sized person to soak comfortably, yet shallow enough to make assisting a bathing youngster comfortable. The Back Bedroom is cool, quiet and cozy with a full size platform bed that will help even the lightest sleepers get plenty of rest. The Third Floor is the "Faculty Suite" with a roomy bathroom, walk-in closet and bedroom with king sized bed. The bathroom has dual vanities, a roomy shower with double shower heads (rain shower or wand), and a separate toilet area with a sliding door. The walk in closet has a safe and tons of drawers and shelves for storage. The bedroom is minimalist with a luxurious king sized platform bed, organic no metal mattress, topped with a fresh tempure-pedic pad and 100% cotton sheets. Mural of the forest in winter is by a local artist. All the way at the top is the roof deck with 360 views, plenty of seating, and a perennial container garden. And last but not least, all the way back down in the basement are a full sized stackable washer and drier, another flat screen TV, and our home gym, where you are welcome to use a Concept 2 rowing machine, a standing heavy bag, weight bench, dumbells, yoga mat, or plenty of floor cushions for lounging and getting comfortable. We hope you enjoy our Fishtown home as much as we have! Guest access This is a very walkable neighborhood, where street parking is still free. We are a five minute walk from public transportation (the Market Frankford Line) which takes you anywhere you want to go from the Northeast to Old City, Center City, and University City. There are several grocery stores in the area, an amazing amount of restaurants nearby, playgrounds, coffee shops, wine stores, breweries, you name it. Other things to note Our home is safe for children of all ages and we welcome families. There is an extra crib-sized mattress available and several other amenities for littles including games and a chair booster pillow. There is NOT any sort of childproofing on drawers or stairs. The roof deck has a surrounding wall that is waist/chest high on adults but children should NOT be left unsupervised on the roof deck.
