The Orchard Barn at Old Court Farm. Our country hideaway has been lovingly brought to life from its humble beginnings as a Old cider barn. Designed and built here on the farm, this modern conversion brings a luxurious ‘interior feel’ surrounded by never-ending oak beams with views over looking the apple orchards. With 70 acres of near by orchards for you and your pets to ‘roam freely’ it’s a true feeling of the very beautiful English countryside. The space Our Orchard Barn is run totally on green energy. We grow crops on our land along with farm waste products to feed a Anaerobic digester which then produces electricity from the gas. This property is just one house in the local community we supply electric to. From lights to heating, your stay will be totally renewable. Please bare this in mind, when things don't run smoothly on the farm and the engines go down the heating might drop off but we work through the night to make sure its right for you as soon as possible. With that in mind we have a endless supply of electric radiators provided. Only a few steps out the front door you can find yourself amongst acres of trees, where your pets can run freely lifting up the wildlife as you stroll. Our Orchards are not ring fenced but if your happy to leave you dog off the lead we are too. Our cider orchards are truly breath taking, from the idyllic blossom fairy tail walks in the spring to the rich, red vibrant apple fall in the autumn. Old Court farm has been in the family for generations and we would be honoured as a family to welcome you, our guests, to stay on the farm and get a real feel into what its like behind the scenes. Our farms busy times are spring and late summer (planting and harvest) if you prefer not to be amongst all the tractors and trailers passing your window then please look to book out of these times. This is a Oak Barn with lots of glass, we are also on a farm in the country side, there will be flies. We do our very best to catch them before they get into the building but you must be aware of this before booking throughout the summer. The Barn is made up of two spacious bedrooms with Super King size beds, and 1 bathroom upstairs including a massive walk in shower, toilet and basin. Downstairs is a complete open plan kitchen, dining and living room with a utility room on the side including a toilet and basin. Guest access The entire property will be yours on your whole stay, you will have free car parking spaces, and the freedom to roam where ever you wish in our orchard land. The Property is close to our working arable farm and therefore you can request a farm tour during your stay but freely walking is not permitted for health and safety reasons. There are so many beautiful walks and trails on the farm to take your pet but unfortunately can not offer you a enclosed garden or outside seating area so please bare this in mind. Other things to note I am the proud owner of 2 Cocker spaniels and 1 Jack Russel who live on the farm too.
