Welcome to my little slice of the Hudson Valley. This historic farmhouse was built in 1800 and is situated on a lovely 2.5 acres. Just minutes off 87, we are a perfect jump-off point for a stay in the Hudson Valley. - Cedar barrel sauna - Wood-stove - Fire pit - Dog-friendly (fenced in) - 5 min to town center - 15 min to Minnewaska The property is two miles outside of the town of New Paltz, and a close jump to the many orchards in New Paltz (Dressel Farms, Minard both within 5 min), and many of the hiking trails (Minnewaska, Mohonk Preserve). There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, including a master suite with an attached half bath. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds, the smaller room has a twin sized. I also have multiple blow up mattressesb if needed. The back yard is entirely fenced in, which keeps out deer and allows dogs to safely roam. There's a small fire pit in the backyard, as well as a barrel sauna. Part of the magic of the place is that the house is a bit of a time-capsule: the wide plank floors are 200 years old. It has an original, deep clawfoot tub and many fireplaces throughout the house. But despite its age, the house has a new mini-split heating system to ensure your comfort, as well as a cozy wood-stove in the living room to make it extra toasty. While the property is sometimes shared, I think you'll find the reviews reflect that the property works well to preserve privacy. My dwelling is 50 yards from the house, and we each have a separate entrance into the back yard. While I'm always down for a chat, if I'm around I like to make a small footprint and let guests do their thing. Thank you for considering the property for your next stay in the Hudson Valley, and I look forward to hosting you! Guests have access to the entire farmhouse and outdoor property. There is a granny-flat on the property, which guests will not have access to. Your host, Ryan - along with his incredibly friendly, 7 year old, 45 lb dog Marcy - split their time between New Paltz and Beacon. Depending on the day, they may be staying there and sharing the property. During the summer months, the pool area is available exclusively to guests between the hours of 10-8. I am always available via message while guests are staying in the house, to address any quick issues that might arise. If I’m in town, I’ll also be available in the structure out back to help with anything that might require my physical presence. We're located on the rural side of New Paltz, conveniently off Route 32 towards Gardiner. We're 2 miles from town, where there are lots of great restaurants and walking/shopping areas. We are 10 miles from the Mohonk Mountain House, and 11 miles from Minnewaska State Park. There is ample room for parking in the driveway. Access to a car would be the preferred way of accessing the property, although cabs are available in town for anyone arriving via Bus to New Paltz, or Train to Poughkeepsie.
