Other things to note Pets: The Getaway welcomes friendly and well behaved dogs only for an additional fee. The host's front yard is fully fenced though not fully enclosed (smart or small dogs can crawl underneath) for dogs. There is a small fenced area between the back/main entrance and the garage that is fully enclosed and private for the Gateway House guest. The shared backyard has a fully enclosed fence. Pets are not allowed on the bed or any furniture (we kindly ask you not to book please if your dog is unable to stay off the furniture). This can be an active property as its shared with the Gateway Getaway who can potentially be coming in an out often, so if your dog is very noise sensitive it is something to consider when booking. If quietness is something you are searching for it is often mostly quiet but not a guarantee. Your dog needs to be pet and child friendly. Kids: The Getaway House is very kid friendly. If you need a pack and play or high chair we are happy to provide those at no additional fee. If a crib is requested know that it has been well loved and will show those signs but is sanitized properly always. If you request a crib there will be an additional $30 set up fee. There is a baby gate to close off the stairs in the National Park Room closet. Note the stairs are steep and not carpeted so watching and assisting young kids is necessary and required. No smoking/vaping anywhere on the property. Guests are responsible for cleaning the BBQ grill after use. Please run the burners for several minutes and clean the grill once finished. Failure to make a reasonable effort to clean the grill will result in a $25 cleaning fee. A $50 fee will be charged if a deep clean is required, as determined by our cleaning team. Wild Life Preserve: this property is right next to one so note its not uncommon to see wildlife. Stink Bugs! They are the 2025 locust. I am sorry there is not much we can do about these creatures sneaking inside. Our best advice is to attempt to remove from the house without killing. They are pretty stinky if you do kill them. Hosts live nearby: Please note we live 2 houses away from the property and can be easily reached if needed. We also actively manage and do the maintenance work on the property and its not uncommon to see us outside tending to the turnovers of the units or yard maintaining. Activity planning: There are extensive bike and hiking trails that can be accessed within minutes of the Gateway's driveway. As a lifelong Issaquah resident, my family and I can help you design the perfect itinerary, whether it be hiking, mountain biking, brewery hopping, concert going or simply relaxing. We're proud of our Issaquah community and look forward to sharing some of it with you.
