Our house is small but cozy, safe and peaceful, surrounded by nature and centrally-located at the East-West verbinding. It's 15-20 minutes from the Jules Wijdenbosch bridge to get to Paramaribo, the capital. You have a chinees restaurant and lots of warungs (javanese restaurants) nearby and there is a supermarket across the street. You can reach Peperpot Nature Resort within minutes. District Commewijne is the place of historical plantations situated at the right banks of the Suriname river. East West Verbinding where the house is, is convenient for guests coming from the East, such as Albina and French Guyana. It is just another 15 minutes to reach the Wijdenbosch Bridge the way to the city. But also for guests who will appreciate the nature, flora and fauna. In the morning you will wake up with the singing of the birds and at night the shirping of the crickets. You will enjoy peace and Zen. A little resort feeling is created for the guests. There is a lot of traffic at the East West during the day, but once you are in the apartment, you will hardly hear any noices from the street, cause it is situated at the back of the main house. At the East West verbinding you will find lots of Warungs (Javanese Eathouses), a chinese restaurants and supermarkets. You can get your groceries and local fruits at the supermarket across the street or at one of the many small local stands. from the East West you can reach the historical plantations and villages by bike or car, such as Peperpot plantation, New Amsterdam, Marienburg, Zorgvliet and Alkmaar. Once you are in Marienburg, you can just take a 10 minute journey by canoe boat to the right banks of the Commewijne River. There you will find old coffee and cacao plantations such as Frederiksdorp and Margerita.
