Located in the Knik Glacier Valley, this getaway provides a spectacular retreat with many options for local activities. Enjoy the hot tub and take in breathtaking mountain views from the balcony for a peaceful and relaxing escape. We are far enough from town to be surrounded by nature with frequent moose visits & exceptional northern lights, while still fairly close to restaurants and shopping (30 min). Some great local activities are heli rides, snowmachine expeditions, hiking and much more! The space The guest suite is attached to our house where we live with a separate entrance. The guest suite has one main room with a queen bed, kitchenette, table, loveseat couch, and tv. Connected to the main room is the bathroom, which has a shower (no tub) and basic bathroom amenities. The second bed is a twin bed that is stored in the closet. Due to fire codes the bed must be moved into the main room for use. If you would like to use the second bed, please notify us when you make your reservation so we can move it for you. There are two decks, on the east and west ends of the suite, both with views of the Knik valley and surrounding mountains. The Suite is attached to our house with the bookshelf door that locks from both sides. Guest access The guest suite and upstairs decks are all exclusively for guest use. The hot tub is primarily for guest use but we may use it on occasion if guests are not using it. You are also welcome to enjoy the yard and swing, which are common areas for the guest suite and our house. Other things to note Check out our IG @knik_wilderness_getaway 1) We have two dogs that are on the property. They are very friendly, but may bark at first. They are outside for much of the day, but we accommodate guests as needed. We will do our best to keep them out of your way if that is what you prefer. It is understood that guests may come across and interact with our dogs during their stay. 2) The hot tub is available for guests year around and is included in the rental. Hot tub water is emptied and refilled on an as needed basis, and chemical levels and cleanliness are checked before each booking. No alcohol or food consumption is allowed in the hot tub.
