Description
Located on the outskirts of the Catskill Mountains is our unique octagon building. At the top of a dirt road where the trees part and a beautiful view awaits you’ll find the perfect country getaway. Our building sits on 150 acres of land that is open to hiking, bird watching, and exploring at your own risk. Our land in addition boarders 240 acres of NYS DEP land that is open to the public for hunting, hiking, and a variety of other activities. The space There is one queen size bed but plenty of room for an additional blow up mattress or cots. Guests will need to provide these if needed. The octagon building has electric but there is no electric in the bathroom. The drive to the tent is up a dirt road that is just over half a mile long. You will want to drive slow and be mindful of wild animals in the road. You will have access to an outhouse and we will provide a sun shower bag. This is a large 5 gallon bags that heats in the sun for showers. You will want to bring your own personal hygiene products. We will provide a total of four bath towels and two wash cloths. We will provide two rolls of toilet paper but guest will be responsible for any additional rolls they may need. There is a fire pit and BBQ grill available for guest use. We suggest bringing foods that can be cooked over a fire pit or on a BBQ grill. We DO NOT suggest leaving food lying about. You are in an area with lots of wildlife and leaving food about draws them in. The tent sits on 150 acres of land. Our land is available to you at YOUR OWN RISK. Please be mindful when wandering about. The land that boarders ours is 240 acres of DEP land that is open to the public. Guests are welcome to use the hammock and corn hole boards that are located on the property. Guests are responsible to pick up after themselves. When you come to the end of your stay please empty all garbage's into the outdoor garbage can and tie the bag shut. Guest access Our land is welcome to explore at YOUR OWN RISK. The 240 acres DEP land located behind the tent is open to the public. Other things to note Please note that there is NO electric or running water in the bathroom.
