Choose from rolling hills, lake, mountains, native bush, or the milky way in our dark sky. This apartment is located in beautiful Kinloch near Lake Taupō. You have your own private area at one end of our house, including a private fenced area for your dog to enjoy. We respect diversity and inclusion, and welcome all people to our home. The space Your apartment has a private bedroom with a high quality king size bed and writing desk. You have a wide choice of different types and styles of pillows to ensure a comfortable nights sleep. No dogs are allowed in the carpeted bedroom or on any of the other furniture in the apartment. The living area has a smart TV, library with a selection of books to read, couch, chair, dining room table and chairs. It also has a hidden, pull down high quality king size bed that we can set up for you in the living area if there are more than two people staying (use of the bed must be arranged in advance). This second bed is set up studio style, with no door between the living/sleeping area and kitchenette/bathroom area and the separate bedroom. The access to the bathroom and kitchenette for the bedroom occupants is through the living area. If you are planning on using the second bed, please note that it then reduces your living space in that room as it is a king sized bed. You can still use everything, its just a tighter space. A tiled walk-in high pressure shower ensures you can get clean after riding or running the local trails, with heated towel rails to warm up your towels as well as heated floors. The kitchenette has facilities to enable you to self-cater including a microwave, toaster, jug, coffee maker, and all the crockery you will need to make a healthy meal. There is no stove or stove top in the kitchenette. There is a Weber BBQ outside for you to cook with, a brazier fire, and a big outdoor table and chairs, and a comfortable couch to enjoy the outdoors. We'll provide you with a light continental style breakfast each morning to get you started for your day of activities. The apartment has a private fenced area for you to use and to keep your dog secure. If your dog is reactive to other dogs or people this apartment is not going to work for you as the private fenced area is within a larger fenced area that our two dogs can access. This will cause stress to both you and us, as well as our furry friends. If your dog is super active and likes to jump all over the furniture, dig holes, or likes to sleep on the bed with you, this apartment is not going to work. We do not allow dogs on any of the furniture, or in the carpeted bedroom. We pride ourselves on providing high quality accommodation that is dog friendly but to do so, we must keep the dogs off the furniture and the lawn and garden a dig free zone. We have bowls and a bed available for your dog if you don't have them with you. A port-a-cot and high chair are available if you have a little human with you. We also have a single fold up bed if you are traveling as a family and need an extra sleeping spot (arranged in advance). If you are staying for more than 4 nights, we can give you access to our laundry facilities. Guest access You have a private entry to your apartment, with living area, kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom available for you to use exclusively. You have a private fenced area to enjoy, with outdoor furniture, BBQ, fire brazier (fire regulations and seasons dependent), and a bike rack you can lock your bikes to (no bikes are allowed inside). Other things to note Please be aware we have two black Labradors living in the main house and they will likely want to say 'Hi' to you and your dog through the fence. They will not enter your private fenced area or apartment but they will look through the fence at you (especially if you are eating outside or cooking sausages on the BBQ!!). They are very friendly and love to meet new people and other dogs. We also have two bee hives on site. They are far away from the house and the bees' usual flight paths are not over the apartment area so you can watch from a safe distance and not be disturbed.
