Private 3rd floor suite in the hip Armory n'hood.
Description
Looking for a cozy, well-located space to spend a few days to a few weeks (up to 27 days)? Check out my 3rd floor studio with private entrance, bedroom, sitting room and bathroom with shower. This is an individual room in my home, which I and two tenants occupy. Near a major bus route, and within walking distance of restaurants, cafes and retail shops. 25-30 minute walk to downtown, a 15 minute drive to Brown and RISD. The space This third floor studio is part of the owner's unit in a two-family house. The studio contains a bed and closet nooks at one end, a dining area in the middle, a living area at the other end, and a kitchenette, as well. There is a small microwave and a refrigerator but no place to cook or wash dishes. Perfect for takeout! The studio is a nice place to retreat for a long weekend or longer. The unit has its own baseboard heating system for the winter and a floor a/c unit for the warmer months. It has its own private entrance off of the rear stair hall. I bought this house in December, 2016 and continue to make improvements. Across the street is a 4 acre city park with a glorious 1907 armory at the other end. Note: From 2017 to 2019, this space was divided into two rooms, a hallway, and a bathroom. In 2022, I renovated it into a studio + bathroom. All of the older reviews may or may not reflect the current status. Guest access Before you arrive, you will be given a code to retrieve two keys from the key box. One key is for the rear door of the house, which gives entry to the stair hall. The other key is for the door to the third floor studio. There is no security system. Being on the third floor, there are two flights of stairs so be prepared to carry your luggage all the way up! Other things to note If you have a car, please park in the driveway. It is a driveway that can fit three in tandem, so some coordination WILL be necessary to ensure all drivers can get in and out when they need to. Overnight street parking is not available without a permit. Only one car will be allowed to park in the driveway. The bathroom is on the small size and may not be comfortable for people who are very tall. Registration Details RE.05499-STR, expiry date: 2026-04-18
