I chose this place to be engulfed in the culture of the Dominican Republic and interact with locals when they are not working. So much more can be negotiated and relationships developed while living here. My building has several foreigners and the building next door is 100% occupied by foreigners. Feel comfortable knowing you can communicate in English with a lot of people here. This place has been a dream come true to me.
