Turn Plantain Cabin offers 180 degrees view of lush mountainsides. The cool breeze, whistling wind, fresh crisp air provide the perfect condition to rest, relax and recharge. Off the main, a short ride up the bumpy hill leads to the perfect escape. This oasis is ideally located off the beaten track giving a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday living yet it is in close proximity to some of Jamaica’s finest attractions. Be sure to relax by the pool and make memories by the firepit. We constantly try to control pests. However, it is not unlikely for there to be occasional sightings. Consequently, we encourage you to keep the doors closed, do not leave out food to prevent ant and fly infestations, use an insect repellent for mosquitoes and the like. Do not be surprised if you see lizards in and around the cottage. Because of the uniqueness of our location, food delivery option is not available. However, you can order and pick up from restaurants that are within 15 minutes drive. We know the power of a hot shower. As such, the cabin is supported by a 40 gallon solar water heating tank. This does not provide unlimited hot water. Therefore, in the event that your hot water supply runs low on a cloudy/rainy day, there is a switch in the closet that facilitates heating, electronically. The electronic heating process is not instant, it may take approximately one hour. As you immerse in nature, enjoy the authentic Jamaican sights and sounds of life on Plantain Hill.
