Through the pool gate, you will find horseshoes, badminton and a fire pit for chilly evenings. The pool is open Memorial Day and closed Labor day. It is not heated. The hot tub is open from September through May. The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood so we are mindful of our neighbors in terms of noise generally. We also ask for quiet hours beginning at 9 PM on weeknights and 10 PM on weekends and holidays since our neighbors wake early for work. Harpers Ferry is a beautiful spot at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers - between Maryland and Loudoun Heights. Rich in history and natural beauty - we love our town for its peaceful and friendly vibe. Walk through the downtown, exploring its history, grazing in shops and enjoying an ice cream or lunch at one of the local eateries. Harpers Ferry is the mid-point of the Appalachian trail and hiking trails beckon in all directions. Visit the NPS and hike along the Shenandoah, hike the ridge trail along town for views of the Shenandoah and lower town, walk around historic civil war battlefields or spend an afternoon climbing Maryland Heights for a fantastic view. For the adventurous, take a white water rafting trip down the Potomac or Shenandoah rivers or grab a beer at Harpers Ferry Brewery up the mountain and watch all the river activity from a stunning viewpoint. We are located in town at the end of a quiet street that borders on state forest. From the house, you can access hiking trails in Nash Farm, along the Potomac River and to Bolivar Heights Battlefield. We are a stone's throw from several local eateries and breakfast spots. It's a five minute drive to lower Harpers Ferry and its attractions are an enjoyable but longer stroll by foot. We love our town and neighborhood and think you will too! Just down the road from Harpers Ferry explore Northern Virginia’s wine region, venture a little west to the historic towns of Charles Town and Shepherdstown, or visit Antietam battlefield among other historic places. Come and enjoy the stunning scenery and explore the region’s history from this delightful, bright and airy Harpers Ferry home.
