Designed to capture abundant sunshine, with an open plan living at the heart warmed by a cosy wood heater. Enjoy the views from the sheltered deck or relax in the private BBQ courtyard, then listen to the ocean as you drift to sleep. The space Sleeping up to 7 people, two bedrooms make up the comfortable accommodation. The first bedroom has a queen bed and single bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed and bunk beds. A portacot is also available. The bathroom contains a combined shower/kids bath, with separate toilet. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac at the northern end of the beach it is only 25 metres to the coastal crown reservation. Turn right and the pathway will get you directly to the beach, turn left and the beautiful coastal walkway takes you right into Orford via sheltered Shelly Beach. Set yourself up in this gateway to the glorious East Coast, with: - the town of Triabunna, with its ferry service to Maria Island National Park, 15 minutes away; - 2km cliff-side walking track north to Shelly Beach provides magnificent coastal views of Spring Bay, Mercury Passage and the Maria Island National Park; - Swansea, Bicheno, Coles Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula an easy drive; - nature lovers paradise with bike-riding routes, bush walks for all levels; and occasional whale and dolphin spotting; - an array of heritage experiences, such as the old sandstone quarry, Convict Trail and Aboriginal middens; - wineries, distilleries and quality produce offered locally and throughout the East Coast; - nearby Orford has an IGA supermarket, Cafes (Wattlebanks and Elly's), Pizza Restaurant, Bottle Shop and Blue Waters (where you can get a counter meal) there is also a Golf Course, Lawn Bowls Club and great kids playground in Orford; - an abundance of fishing locations to try your luck, and boat ramp in Orford; - Hobart a scenic 1 hour drive. Guest access You will have full private use of this property (excluding garage). Other things to note Tank Water and septic system. Please be water wise. Smoke-free and pet-free. We provide linen and towels (but not beach towels). We do not provide a cleaning service during your stay. NBN on the East Coast can be unreliable particularly in peak periods where the network can struggle with the customer load.
