Gîte de Saint-Louet: a stone cottage on a farm

This peaceful cottage offers a relaxing stay on our family farm, La Ferme du Pressoir, for groups or families. The original stone building is a former sheepfold, beautifully renovated into a 3-bedroom cottage for up to 9 guests. It's a perfect base for exploring Normandy: Spend your days visiting the D-Day beaches and WWII sites, Bayeux, Caen, Mont Saint-Michel...then return to the tranquility of the farm and garden filled with birdsong.... The space The cottage is a freestanding stone building on the farm. The entrance opens to a common room, with dining table, comfortable seating for lounging, and adjacent fully-outfitted kitchenette, where you can prepare your meals. Doors from the common area open to the terrace, with its view overlooking fruit trees and field, and to the parking area for guests. Just beyond the terrace is the playset and swing for children, and a barbecue pit. The ground-floor bedroom with queen bed (160cm) also opens onto the terrace. The other two bedrooms are upstairs--one with a queen (160cm) and a single bed, and one with a queen (160cm) and two single beds. All three bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and are furnished with antiques from the area. Guest access Upon entering the gîte, you come upon the common room. There is an info corner with brochures of sites and attractions, and a sitting area for planning your activities, as well as a television. Adjoining the common room is a well-outfitted kitchenette. A dining table just outside on the terrace is at your disposal, a lovely place to take breakfast, lunch, or dinner, overlooking the fruit trees and field. Lounge chairs are available for relaxing in the sun. A swingset and toys are available for the kids. We'll be happy to introduce you to the goats, sheep, horses, and chickens as well! Other things to note Please note, the wifi signal is strongest in the common area. Our thick stone walls sometimes prevent the wifi from reaching all parts of the building. Also note that this is a self-catering rental, i.e. breakfast is not provided.
