The Hernando Lake House

Relax our Lake House. The water touches the back yard and the lake is loaded with Bass and many other fish. Relax in the living room falling asleep for afternoon naps while gazing at the serenity of the water. The house is quiet and set up for some nice long weekends. The Gulf of Mexico is just 14 miles to Crystal River which has a nice local beach. Scalloping and Manatee watching and much more to do in Citrus county. Orlando and Disney are just a little over an hours drive. The space 15 miles to the coast where there are plenty of springs. Manatee tours and snorkeling. There are also many captains that you can book some gulf fishing trips with. Also the famous Rainbow river is just a 15 to 20 minute drive away, for snorkeling, diving and tubing. Not far from the Horse Country in Ocala, just a 20 minute drive. Disney is a little over an hour. Other things to note While we are on the lake with a sea wall we have a small dock. You may launch your boat at a public launch at the park. This launch is about 2 miles away and you can drive your boat to the house and anchor at the dock. We have had some guests with Kayaks, canoes and small boats that launched them from the back yard by lifting them over the seawall. The seawall is almost level with the water but is about 2 foot tall from the lake bottom at the edge of the wall itself. This does vary on rain fall and water can be level with the wall. We have outside spot lighting with cameras at the driveway and back yard.
