The Red Tavern

Formerly known as "The Old Red Tavern," this historic house served as a haven for weary travelers, offering spirits and lodging in the early 1800s. Located in the heart of historic Jefferson Village, this four-bedroom house offers the ideal retreat for all seasons. Situated just across the creek from Bellevue Barn and less than a mile away from Santa's Village, The Red Tavern comfortably accommodates up to eight people. We are 20 minutes from Bretton woods, and 45 minutes from Cannon mountain The space The hand hued beams are original and structural. The house was built between 1811-1817. The original square where the beams are exposed is the original tavern. Feel free to use the outdoor shower between the house and the barn. A solo stove is waiting for you in the patio area, wood in the wood shed. Take a walk up in the apple trees and take in the view. Enjoy sitting on the farmers porch at night and dim the lights down. Please use the front mudroom for any storage you may need. Guest access Please access the house through the back. Walk through the first white door through the mudroom.
