The Love Shack is a spacious, family run guesthouse located at the Mida Creek with lush greenery all around. We have direct access to the Mangroves in front of our house and the famous Garoda Kite Beach is 5min away. We are all about sustainable living with solar energy & water collection systems. We welcome you to our fitness center FIT LIKE VIC Watamu in town to enjoy group classes, as well as personal training sessions. Our dogs are our co-hosts and will shower you with their love ❤️ The space Our property is located in a quiet and serene environment. The guesthouse features 3 rooms. Room Malikia has an en-suite outdoor bathroom, rooms Kipepeo ( 1st floor ) and Mapenzi ( ground floor) have private bathrooms both on the ground floor. This is a self-catering guesthouse. People prepare their own meals in our community, outdoor kitchen. We live in harmony with nature. All our rooms are open without glass windows, so a fresh breeze is coming through and its not getting too hot. All rooms have ceiling or standing fans too. We run completely on solar energy, so you will not experience any power blackouts in our house. Our latest upgrade is a 5G Fibre network everywhere, so this place is ideal for remote workers. Please note our water has normal temperature and no heating system, as this is not possible with the solar. For your fitness/workout we feature a 15min swimming pool, pull up bar and Yoga platform in the garden under the trees. We are also working on a small calisthenics park coming this year 2025. During your stay We are a family of 4 and live on the same compound, but our guests have their own private spacious guesthouse. We are always available to help you organize your perfect vacation, for example in house massage service, kite sessions, blue safaris, Tsavo Safaris, pick up service, swahili cooking evenings, private boat hire for customized trips around the creek or to Kilifi. Name it and we will organize it! Other things to note We are a family run guesthouse with a focus on eco tourism, sustainability and a lifestyle in harmony with other people and the environment around us. That being said, and unfortunately Watamu has some problems in that area of hospitality, we are not a guesthouse for sextourism, exploitation of local youths and behaviour of misconduct.
