Casa Grande & Casa Mango are the perfect option for families or friends travelling together who need a bit more privacy. These two houses share one property. Our guests like to embark in eye-opening experiences of nature, wildlife and relaxation. This area is best suited to those not adverse to being in occasional and relatively close proximity with the creatures which inhabit the rain forest. While the jungle is just outside the door, the beaches, restaurants and grocery stores are nearby. The space Casa Grande is our two bedroom, one bathroom home with spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. This home has a well equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar for those that like to cook, an open concept living room with TV (HDMI compatible), a dedicated office area for those that need to work, and a large covered outdoor patio with comfortable seating and the dining area. This space can comfortable accommodate up to four people .Guests have their own gated entrance and a shared parking area. Casa Mango is our one bedroom home with large private patio and gated entrance with parking. This home has a full kitchen which is well equipped, a comfortable bedroom with a desk and office chair, a spacious walk-in closet to store your suitcase and personal items, and a newly renovated bathroom with an incredible outdoor shower. At Casas La Selvatica we offer an unforgettable rain forest immersion experience. Beyond comfortable accommodation, you will experience the sounds, scents and sights of the jungle with its amazing flora and fauna. Better yet, you will be only minutes (on foot!) away from a picture perfect beach, grocery store and restaurants. The setting is ideal for couples or families who appreciate the comfort of an entire home rather than a hotel room, and the cultural experience of living in an actual local neighbourhood, surrounded by the jungle. The property is located in Playa Chiquita. You will share the gardens with two other homes but have all the privacy you desire. Our onsite hosts will guide you through any help you may need on your stay and offer knowledgeable advice or suggestions on things to do and see in the area. Please note, we do not offer services similar to those found in high-end hotels or all inclusive resorts. Your experience at La Selvatica will provide a laid back approach but with all the support and comfort you need. Guest access You will have private access to both of our vacation rental homes, Casa Grande and Casa Mango, with multiple gardens to explore and private patio areas. At night, check out the frog pond where you may spot Clarice our resident turtle and many species of Costa Rican frogs. Other things to note La Selvatica is your home on the rugged Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. Our two vacation homes, Casa Mango and Casa Grande, are located in the quaint beach settlement of Playa Chiquita, just outside of Puerto Viejo, the happening epicenter of the southern area of the Coast. We are located in the center of the "tourist" area of the Coast, with easy access to the town of Puerto Viejo, the surfing community of Cocles, quaint Punta Uva (rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica) and the fishing village of Manzanillo, entry point for the Gandoca-Manzanillo Reserve. Our homes, which are intended for short term vacation rentals provide comfortable accommodation immersed in the rain forest and surrounded by wildlife, yet only a few minutes walk away from a picturesque palm fringed beach, grocery store and restaurants. The setting will appeal to the more adventurous travellers who enjoy being surrounded by jungle sounds, and having the opportunity to observe amazing wildlife in its natural habitat. You will most likely watch howler monkeys in their search for food, toucans or sloths right from the comfort of your patio. This area (the jungle!) is NOT a bug-free zone. Our homes are self-catering, but benefit from the on-site presence of two hosts will be present at check-in/out, and be available daily to assist with information and recommendations about the area, activities and tours suggestions and offer detailed attention to your comfort throughout your vacation. You will have the privacy that you desire, but have the comfort of being able to speak to your site hosts whenever needed.
