Stylish Maltese Retreat with Stunning Views

Dar Garigor is a stylish, charming, well and tranquil house in Cospicua, one of the historic Three Cities. The private roof offers panoramic views over the Three Cities and the Mediterranean Sea. It is an ideal retreat for a single person or a couple who want to experience real Maltese life. Within walking distance you may find numerous dining options together with many cultural, historical and religious attractions. The ferry boat to Valletta is also within walking distance. The space Going up a flight of stairs from its entrance door you get into a spacious air conditioned living room filled with Maltese antiques and art work which give you straight away a local feeling.  A spacious bedroom is set on the front part of the house, and enjoys it's own private balcony overlooking the street. The king size bed comes with a Memory Foam mattress, fitted and flat sheets, duvet (autumn and winter months only), two different types of pillows, pillow cases and matching cushions. A silent fan and a mosquito net provide a more restful night. A clean and very well equipped modern kitchen/dining including a brand new fridge/freezer, electric oven, electric kettle, coffee machine, large plates, small plates and bowls, tea pot, tea / coffee mugs, saucepans and frying pans, water and wine glasses, fruit bowl, cheese grater, set of sharp kitchen knives and bread knife, colander, casserole dish, measuring jug, corkscrew, vegetable peeler, tin opener, chopping board, 24 piece cutlery set, set of whisks, spoons, masher and spatulas, scissors, napkins, tea towel, place mats, oven gloves, coffee machine refills, different flavored teas, sugar, salt, pepper and olive oil for preparing a snack or a more substantial meal. Also included is a brand new washing machine/drier.  The bathroom consists of a walk-in shower area with a rain shower head, WC basin, mirror and vanity unit. It is complimented by bath linens (3 towels of different sizes) for each guest. You will also find complimentary shower supplies (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). Beach towels and a beach bag are also provided.  To get to the private roof you need to walk up an authentic Maltese spiral staircase which is locally called "Garigor." The private roof (solely for your use) has two chairs, table and an umbrella parasol which make it an ideal setting to enjoy a relaxing romantic evening whilst enjoying panoramic view of the area. There are also outdoor lights so you can enjoy the warm evenings. Gracing the walls is a collection of original paintings and limited edition prints by Maltese and international artists capturing local scenes. There is also a collection of traditional Maltese tiles hanging on one of the walls.  Free wifi (unlimited data transfer with advertised download speed of 500Mbps and upload speed of 50Mbps), flat screen TV with international channel package. Also contains hairdryer, iron and ironing board, clothes dryer rack and pegs and 2 universal plug adapters (Maltese sockets are same as standard UK / Ireland 3-pin plug sockets). Throughout the property there are 3 chargers for USB Type A and Type C cables.  For your safety there is a smoke detector, a fire extinguisher, a fire blanket, a first aid kit and an emergency light in the property.  Please be aware that it is a legal requirement in Malta to register with the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) and obtain a licence for any property available for short term rental to tourists. Many local properties are, unfortunately, rented out illegally. Dar Garigor has been licensed by the MTA (licence no. HPE/0675) and the required sales tax and eco tax are paid to the relevant authorities. Free on-street parking on a first-come, first-served basis is available next to the property.  The nearest bus stop is just 300m away. For those who want to swim at sea, it is possible to do so in the Vittoriosa area. Rinella Bay Beach is about 4km away. Otherwise you can visit other sandy and rocky beaches around the beautiful Maltese coast.  Guest access Full, unrestricted access to property, facilities mentioned and roof terrace. You will have sole use and not share with anyone else during your stay. Other things to note Property registered with the Maltese Tourism Authority (Licence HPE/0675).
