Ted’s Hut - shepherd’s hut, Church Stretton

Get away from it all and sleep under the stars, in comfort. Ted’s Hut is set in a 2 acre field making this an ideal space for a cosy and comfortable retreat, ideally placed for exploring Shropshire’s beautiful hills. Lower Wood is a quiet rural hamlet with the vibrant market town of Church Stretton just 2 miles away. Located on the Long Mynd, an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), with direct access to walking, cycling, horse riding all on the doorstep. Minimum two night stay. The space Ted’s hut is situated on its own in a two acre field overlooking a pond, with gorgeous views of the Shropshire Hills. Your private shepherds hut which internally comprises: Bedroom with Woodburner, Kitchenette, and Bathroom Combined bedroom with kitchenette. It’s a double bed with all linen provided, and there is ample under bed storage for your clothes. The kitchenette is equipped for short stays, and has a toaster, electric kettle and a sink. (Cooking is done outside in the outdoor kitchen which has a charcoal bbq and a single gas ring) The hut also has a Woodburner for cosy nights in. We will get you started with kindling for the small Woodburner, and charcoal for the bbq, (further supplies available to purchase) Separate shower room with toilet, sink and shower. Towels provided. There is no WIFI in the hut but 4G reception is usually good. Outside, your space has a covered seating area for dining, and an outdoor kitchen complete with an electric cool box. The cool box has space for your essentials. Your deck is a space to sit and enjoy the pond. The pond is a haven for nature and wildlife and there’s usually something to see depending on the time of year. PLEASE NOTE no paddling or swimming allowed as we’re encouraging nature to take it over. Guest access You will have full private access to the field. You will have a designated car parking space, please let us know in advance if you’d like to bring more than one vehicle
