Halcyon Ridge is owned by Lynn and Chuck Hadyniak, who live near the Halcyon Ridge property. Lynn and Chuck moved out of New Jersey years ago to get away from the hustle and bustle and raise a family in peace. They love Freedom for its quietness and natural beauty, and would love to host people at Halcyon Ridge who also want to escape the noise. Stargazers will be delighted: low humidity, expansive view of the southeastern sky, and next to no light pollution make for wonderful viewing. A 2-story cape, our 2-bedroom (1 queen, 1 double) home is secluded, newly renovated, and complete with new full-sized appliances, heated tile (1st floor) & heated wood floors (2nd floor). We've even added a Reader's Nook! Perfect for a weekend getaway, a week-long retreat from the noise of the concrete jungle, or an even longer getaway. You have full access to our entire 2-story home, as well as a private driveway, free parking, large side yards for outdoor activities, and a backyard with a view that stretches for miles. You won't see our neighbors, because we don't have any. Halcyon Ridge is nestled at the top of hundreds of acres of woods, overlooking the Camden, Maine hills. When you awake in the second-story bedrooms, the wall-to-wall windows let you sit up and check out the view--maybe you'll be lucky enough to watch a bird floating below you, or to catch the sun rising. If you need something, though, owners Lynn and Chuck are close enough to walk to Halcyon Ridge to provide immediate assistance. Otherwise, you can, if you'd like, completely avoid anyone. Recharge. #HalcyonRidge A car is a must to get to neighboring towns like Belfast, Camden, Waterville, Unity, and Augusta, but the hills of Freedom offer a good cardio workout by bike. In winter, try the 2 sets of LLBean snowshoes provided for our guests, or bring your own cross-country skis --trails right on our property, as well as the wide "trail" of our gravel road, make for great experiences in all seasons. Downhill skiers, snowboarders, and tubers can enjoy the Camden Snowbowl, which is only a 40-minute drive from Halcyon Ridge.
