Cherry Hill House

A quiet, old farmhouse with plenty of space for outdoor activities. Perfect for hunters and fishermen visiting the area or a place to stop that is just 7 minutes from the interstate. We kept the nostalgic style of your grandparents (or parents!) with a few updates for comfort. This is a very simple country house, if you are looking for a hotel stay, this is not it. This house is old and the layout is not modern, and it is not fully updated, so please keep this in mind as you decide to book. The space Built in 1880, this old house is reminiscent of grandma and grandpa's place mixed with a little bit of "cozy cabin", with a bit more space. There are 4 acres for roaming, and inside are two bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, with a pull-out couch in the living room. This home is "new" to us, but as we make improvements and updates it's a simple and quiet, easy-to-access break from a long trip or an old-fashioned place to get away. Guest access Guests are welcome to all rooms in the house except the basement, which is locked. Guests can feel free to roam the yard and wooded area but the shed/barn is off-limits. The property lines are easy to spot, and begin at the field behind the house and the end of the mowed field to the East side of the house. Other things to note One thing to be aware of with an old house that runs on a well is the hard, mineral water. It's perfectly safe and clean to use but if showering or leaving the water on for a LONG time, you may see some mineral deposits or get a sulfuric smell. Because the house runs on a well, please be considerate and conservative with your water usage. If you are using a lot of water all in one day, you run the risk of running the well out.
