Great 2 story 1 bedroom house with small private backyard. 3 blocks to Capitol. Great area. Walk to metro, top nationally ranked restaurants. Great security. 1880s brick carriage house. Great open bedroom upstairs. Sleeper sofa downstairs. Washer dryer. This place has terrific charm and an absolute wonderful location. The ultimate urban village with everything you need so close by. Location doesn't get much better than this. LGBTQ+ and allies welcome. Charming carriage house with private patio. Great tiny house feel. About 600 sf. These carriage houses are rare. Most were torn down decades ago. Directly off gorgeous East Capitol Street, with two corner groceries, a great diner, pharmacy, dry cleaners. Blazing fast 1gig Verizon Fios Internet (both wifi and ethernet). The fastest service available in DC. (Most Zoom calls only require 3.0 mbps up/down and this is more than a hundred times that. Includes YouTubeTV with 85 channels including local channels, HBO Max, etc. We provide that account. Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime etc preloaded to be used with your account. INQUIRE ABOUT POSSIBLE PARKING. Please ask about availability PRIOR to sending a booking request. This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. We are a veteran-owned business, in business since 1997. We have 20 places on Capitol Hill. If this one isn't a good fit please contact us and perhaps we can make other suggestions. We often have availability that may not show up on all booking platforms. This is our sole source of income. We support two extended families - including elderly parents - on this revenue. We also hire local maids, contractors, landscapers, and various tradespeople. A few words about rates: Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. If your stay is 91 days or longer you avoid that tax for the entire stay. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE ARE THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST. Late spring and summer are the 'high season' very high demand months, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bring people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid. Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do shorter stays, but the furnished housing business is usually priced by length of stay (and specific dates chosen). Shorter term stays are at a higher rate. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available beginning within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a one or two month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available beginning in very late June or July 1 (not leaving more than a couple of days vacant between bookings). If this property about seems to have an availability date that may not match up please contact us to see if we can make a specific suggestion, as sometimes we have availability that isn't showing up on booking platforms. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. Guests have complete access and privacy. NOT a shared space Detailed Welcome Letter. As much interaction as needed. Capitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc. Corner groceries, pharmacy, great diner and dry cleaners a two minute walk away (less than one block). Eastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars within blocks! Whole Foods and several other supermarkets in the neighborhood. Five blocks to metro orange/blue and red lines. Union Station train station is five blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is a couple minutes walk. Uber and Lyft and cheap and very easy to get here. DC Circulator metro rapid bus transit also very close by.
