Easily accessible, breathtaking views and the ability to disconnect from it all. This area is located in the immediate center of Hwy 28 (Moonshiners 28) between Franklin and Bryson City. 15 to 20 minutes gets you to the amenities of these quaint little towns or even to the Nantahala Outdoor Center and 30 to the casino. While the utilities are still on their way "up the mountain" you can very easily bring all items with you The space You can easily bring all items in your vehicle as each site on our ridge has a driveway and a large flat cleared area. This space has a picnic table and a fire pit for guest use. There are streams that are at the bottom of the mountain that are for guest use and exploration. It's very quiet and when the sun goes down, the only thing you can see is stars. Nothing really beats watching the sunset from the mountain side. While we will be very real that you will need to be mindful that you are in the wilderness, that is part of the beauty of it all. We spend a lot of time on this mountain and cannot wait for others to enjoy it as well. Guest access It is very important that you screenshot the directions prior to getting on the road to the mountain because you will lose signal before you get there. Once you are on the mountain, there are spots where you can get signal depending on the weather. We will provide you with the location and important information you will need to know prior to check-in and someone will be available if you have questions via phone. We will also provide you with things to do in the area. :) Other things to note While this is easily accessible, you ARE going to be sleeping in the woods. There is wildlife in the woods (bear, deer, skunk, etc) Take this into consideration while you are out there. By nature of being in the wilderness, the ground is raw and there are dropoffs. Be mindful of yourself and children.
