My apartment is located right on Galena's historic main street also known as the Helluvahalfmile. The apartment has just been renovated though it is on the original listing for the apartment. It is now much better than before! There are restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, and nightlife just feet away. You’ll love my place because of it's location, the ambiance, people and the Galena main street life. You are right above my restaurant too, which serves coffee, breakfast and lunch! A one bedroom spacious studio apartment with a lot of natural light. It has original hard wood floors from the early nineteen hundreds when it was a hotel. Everything in the apartment is simple yet comfortable. The best part is it is only a stones throw away from the best coffee shop (Big Bill's), restaurants, and bars in Galena! If the temperature in the apartment is not what you would like, since this is an older building apartment does not have individually controlled climate but it is closely monitored by me (Jack). I can adjust it for you over my phone. I have it locked since it controls one half of the building. I have put a keyless entry to the apartment so you are able to check in anytime you would like after 4pm. I will send over a entry number the day prior to the room being booked. Fantastic lunch and dinner places. Big Bill's located in the same apartment has fantastic coffee which they roast in the restaurant. The town of Galena is kept in a historic look and city hall does a great job of preserving it. There are restaurants, bars, and shops only steps away from the apartment. Below is Big Bill's which is a coffee and lunch place. Quiet during the entire day so there won't be any loud disruptions while you are here. The best way to get around in Galena is walking. When the town fills up during the day it makes it very difficult to drive. Park the car in a spot on the street and you will be set! The windows are a bit hard to open, and they may not stay open with out something holding them up. The apartment is towards the back of the building. Please note: This apartment in not individually controlled but it is closely monitored at a comfortable temperature. In the apartment there is a book, please check the parking schedule in red at the top of the page, it will help you. The back door leading to the roof top is an emergency EXIT only.
